The Plant Health (ePHAC) service is a simple and easy system that automates and streamlines the process of generating Plant Health Assurance Certificates for the interstate movement of produce and plant materials in Australia and wine grape bins returning to South Australia.
Errors are all but eliminated meaning the produce and plant materials can be received by the consignee without quarantine and holdup
The ePHAC service is approved for use by all Australian state and territory jurisdictions
ePHAC Registration Module
Accredited businesses are registered in a central database with their name, address, Interstate Produce (IP) Number and facility number, and expiry dates.
Accredited signatories are also registered with a scan of hand-written signatures.
Growers supplying the accredited business, consignors and consignees are registered and “related” to the accredited business providing customised drop list selections.
Accredited businesses also centrally register their pack types and brands for customised drop list selections.
ePHAC Profile Data Module
The ePHAC service holds a register of ICA Procedures, allowed treatments and additional certification options to provide customised drop list selections for accredited businesses.
ePHAC Certificates Module
Accredited businesses use this module to generate electronic Plant Health Assurance Certificates in the format approved by the respective state jurisdictions.
Fumigation sheets and images of carton stickers can be attached to the electronic Certificate.
The process generates a sequential certificate number.
The “Original” of the Certificate is easily printed to travel with produce and plant materials.
The system emails a certified copy of the Certificate back to the accredited business, to the consignee and the state jurisdiction in the origin and destination states.
Electronic certificates cannot be altered but may be cancelled under approved operating procedures.
